Who this service is for

Relationships change when the pattern becomes visible.

Distress in a relationship rarely belongs to one person. Repeated arguments, withdrawal, mistrust, parenting pressure and major life changes can pull couples or families into cycles that are hard to shift alone.

Panchami uses a systemic, person-centred approach to explore how experiences and relationships influence one another. The work may involve a couple, selected family members or a combination of joint and individual conversations, depending on what is safe and useful.

Who attends is decided before the first session. Where there are safety concerns or active family violence, joint counselling may not be appropriate and another pathway may be recommended.

How counselling may help

How counselling can help your relationship or family.

Slow down conflict

Notice the sequence beneath recurring disagreements and build safer ways to respond before conversations escalate.

Strengthen understanding

Make room for different perspectives, needs and histories without treating one person as the problem.

Navigate change together

Work through parenting stress, separation decisions, blended-family dynamics, grief, illness or other transitions affecting the household.

Your first appointment

What happens first.

01

Beforehand

Before booking, confirm who will attend. Each person can consider what they hope will change and what would help the conversation feel safe and useful.

02

Start with context

The first appointment makes space for what is happening now, what matters to you and what you would like support with. You do not need to tell everything at once.

03

Choose the approach together

Panchami considers your goals, circumstances, preferences and pace when selecting evidence-based approaches. The plan is discussed with you rather than applied as a fixed program.

Common questions

About couples & family counselling.

Does every family member need to attend?

No. The first conversation identifies who is affected, who may benefit from attending and whether joint or separate sessions are most appropriate.

What can couples bring to counselling?

Couples may seek help with communication, emotional distance, conflict, trust, intimacy, parenting differences or decisions about the future of the relationship.

Can children or teenagers be part of family counselling?

Yes, when appropriate. Their age, consent, wellbeing and the purpose of their involvement are discussed with parents or caregivers first.

Are online relationship sessions available?

Online sessions may be suitable for some couples and families. The best format is confirmed when you enquire.
